Time-lapse video captures Sandy’s wrath on NYC

Really cool time-lapse video of New York City enduring a visit from Hurricane Sandy....

Taken from the Northside Piers Towers in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, this video condenses Sandy's strike on New York City into 2 minutes of torrential downpours and high winds. Not the greatest time-lapse work Ive ever seen, but pretty cool nonetheless.... especially when the lights go out what I THINK is the Lower East Side and the Financial District... I'm a little turned around watching this video, though. Can't quite figure out what I'm looking at in the background. That's definitely the East River, so if the camera is pointed south... then that should be the East Village on the right of the frame... where all the lights go out. Anyway, thoughts and prayers to my NYC peoples and the greatest city on the planet.
