Hi! James Huffman here, welcome to my "official, famous/original, personal/professional" website. I'm a producer, director, writer, actor, marketing professional and owner of indie city entertainment.
AS PRODUCER/DIRECTOR: I'm currently in post-production on the short film "Trails of Gray," which I wrote, produced and directed. I'm also currently producing and directing an ongoing series of educational videos for a leading publishing company and information provider for attorneys, business professionals and law students. I produced and directed a video series for PHYSIPET LLC, an innovative new toy for pets. I've written and produced 2 web series: ASPIRING LINE and CATCH with plans for a CATCH feature film and a potential re visit of each series... and sort of "New & Improved" campaign for both. AS AN ACTOR: I am officially credited with originating the role of CARTER in the Sam French publication of THE KING'S HORSES by David L. Paterson. THE KING'S HORSES made it's World Premiere in 2002 at the Pine Knoll Theater in Palenville, NY. Aside from that I have 10 years of New York theater credits that include: WALLY in the campy comedy FISH BOWL, premiering at The Michael Weller Theater in NY in 2006; I played VAN COOPER in the Fringe NYC 2006 production of LIGHT & LOVE by S.P. Riordan at the Access Theatre on the lower East Side of Manhattan; OFFICER BILL in Kenneth Lonergan's LOBBY HERO at Manhattan Theater Source; And part of an ensemble cast, playing various roles in LEE/GENDARY by Soomi Kim and Derek Nguyen at The Samuel Beckett Theater. I've also been around the block on daytime soap operas, appearing in small speaking roles on ALL MY CHILDREN (mostly in NY. One time in LA) GUIDING LIGHT, AS THE WORLD TURNS and ONE LIFE TO LIVE; In 2009, I appeared in SURVIVING DISASTER on Spike TV. I played an arrogant airline passenger who unsuccessfully tries to thwart a terrorist takeover. Basically, I lost my cool and took a shank in the back. I've booked National commercials for ESPN/Home Depot, TH PROPERTIES, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, SPIKE TV, COMEDY CENTRAL. I was born in Charlotte, NC and my roots run deep, generations and generations, Huffman Cove Deep, in a little town called Hickory, NC, just outside of Asheville. I grew up in Ridgewood, NJ, not far from NYC. I went to Framingham State College, Framingham, MA. I lived in Houston, TX for 7 years. I moved back to New York and loved in Hell's Kitchen while I trained, studied and pursued my dreams of being an actor. In 2007 I packed up and moved Los Angeles. I 2009 I met my wife, Kristen in Hermosa Beach. It was love at first sight. I shit you not. We were engaged a year later. We as happy as can be. Kicking ass and taking names... and we have two little terrier puppies names Whitney & Mitchell. But enough about ME...
