Latest Music Downloads...

As busy as I've been lately, I can always find time to hunt and forage for new music. Every once in a while I find something good. Most of my creative inspiration starts with a cool sound or song that I wrap my head around and fall in love with. A couple things Ive come across recently....

NICK WATERHOUSE- TIME'S ALL GONE

It's like a hipsters tribute to the Motown sound. Or maybe just a lower calorie substitute for bandwagon Black Keys fans. Either way, its catchy and fun with an old school essence. "Say I Wanna Know" and "If You Want Trouble" are my favorites.

EL-P- CANCER 4 CURE

Underground DJ, Rapper and White Guy, El-P has been a major player and scene stealer in the "Second Stage" Hip Hop scene for years. The "Second Stage" as I like to call it, is, in my opinion, the ONLY scene worth stealing. He is a true sound Engineer with superior rap skills and wild imagination. If you want to hear some good and gritty hip hop from a true artist, this is the shit.

SONGS....

EMILIANA TORRINI - GUN

Cool, edgy, female vocalist, kind of dark. I like it.

ANE BRUN - DO YOU REMEMBER

Rhythmic and rolling fun from Finland... or some place like that. Sounds sort of like that song "Obvious Child" by Paul Simon, but with a Scandinavian female lead singer (I think she is actually NORWEGIAN), big drums and a band of broads singing back up. I only use the term BROADS for the sake of alliteration. Back up vocals are from the UBER hot buzzworthy band FIRST AID KIT. Anyway, the song is good. I like it.

I gotta go. Check it out. Let me know what you think.
