"C'était un Rendez-vous"

A short film by Claude Lelouch

Such a cool short film that I had to share. It's an eight-minute high speed drive through Paris in the early morning hours of August 1976. I saw this film a few years ago at a screening in a bar back in New York and I LOVED it, but could never figure out where it came from. It was just being shown as a preview to the featured project of the evening. BUT... somebody pinned it on PINTEREST this morning and I was like YES.. I found you.

The SOUND is fantastic. I love the way the sound of the engine cuts and burns through the entire film.

Urban Legend suggests that the director, Claude Lelouch, was arrested upon the first screening due to the illegal nature that had to be undertaken in order for the movie to be made. Whether that's TRUE or not....

I just dig it... baby.
